The Senior Snowflake Database Administrator / Data Engineer will be responsible for administering, optimizing, securing, and maintaining a complex data warehouse ecosystem utilizing Snowflake. The admin will work closely with Product Owners, Data Engineers, Architects, and Scrum/Kanban teams to ensure alignment with platform performance standards, security requirements, cost-allocation goals, and Agile delivery expectations.

Mandatory Requirements:



  • Minimum 9 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years on Snowflake administration with 10+ years of overall tech experience as a developer or DBA
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with little to no supervision.
  • Strong Snowflake Platform Administration experience, including virtual warehouse optimization, RBAC design, and account configuration.
  • Deep understanding of Snowflake architecture (Storage, Compute, Cloud Services, Time Travel, and Zero-Copy Cloning).
  • Must have advanced SQL skills for performance tuning, query profiling, and administrative scripting.
  • Demostrated ability to use python or shell script to automate DB administration
  • AWS experience (managing IAM roles, policies, and S3 external stages)
  • Team player with excellent executive function and communication skills
  • US Citizen or Green Card.


Preferred Requirements:



  • Prior Java or Other software development experience
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience; certification preferred.
  • Snowflake certifications (SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced: Administrator).
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using Terraform or Schemachange for Snowflake object provisioning.
  • CLI Linux experience and automation of data pipelines (Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks).
  • FinOps and cost optimization experience (implementing resource monitors and credit alerts).
  • Experience working with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) information systems.
  • CMS/Medicare or Medicaid claims data experience
