About the Opportunity:
  • The Business Systems Analyst VI (BSA VI) will play a critical role in advancing the organization's enterprise observability strategy by leading the onboarding of applications and organizing workstreams to expand Dynatrace as the central observability platform across the bank.
  • This role operates at the intersection of technology, business systems, and platform adoption, ensuring consistent onboarding, governance, and delivery of observability capabilities across application, infrastructure, and platform domains.
  • The BSA VI will serve as a key coordinator and orchestrator, driving scalable onboarding patterns, aligning stakeholders, and enabling enterprise-wide adoption.
  • Responsible for facilitating complex projects from proposal through post-implementation.
  • Participates in meetings with lines of business to identify their requirements for how an application looks and feels to the end user; provides feedback on those requirements.
  • Serves as project lead to ensure test plans and specifications are completed on a timely basis, and the project meets established milestones.

What You'll Do:
  • Application Onboarding & Adoption Enablement
    • Lead and coordinate onboarding of applications into Dynatrace, ensuring alignment with enterprise observability standards
    • Partner with application teams to define onboarding scope, telemetry requirements, and success criteria
    • Facilitate intake, prioritization, and onboarding pipelines for both production and non-production environments
    • Ensure applications meet monitoring requirements based on criticality tiers and business impact [DRAFT - SO...CON-33101 | Word]
    • Drive consistency in instrumentation and observability patterns (metrics, logs, traces, events)
  • Work Intake, Planning & Coordination
    • Organize and manage the end-to-end onboarding backlog and roadmap for observability expansion
    • Coordinate across engineering teams, platform teams, and business stakeholders to align execution
    • Define and track onboarding milestones, dependencies, and deliverables
    • Facilitate Agile ceremonies and ensure work is structured for scalable delivery
    • Identify risks, gaps, and bottlenecks in onboarding workflows and escalate as needed
  • Observability Platform Expansion (Dynatrace)
    • Support the strategic expansion of Dynatrace coverage across applications, infrastructure, and services
    • Contribute to scaling efforts from limited adoption to enterprise-wide implementation (e.g., expanding monitored applications significantly across the bank)
    • Ensure onboarding aligns to enterprise goals of centralized monitoring, reduced tool sprawl, and unified telemetry [Dynatrace...ity Review | PowerPoint]
    • Assist in driving adoption of full-stack observability capabilities including APM, infrastructure monitoring, log ingestion, and real user monitoring
  • Governance, Standards & Process Alignment
    • Enforce adherence to observability standards, onboarding patterns, and governance controls
    • Ensure onboarding aligns with defined architectures, monitoring requirements, and criticality tiers
    • Support development and refinement of onboarding SOPs, playbooks, and best practices
    • Promote consistent tagging, dashboards, and service alignment to enable reporting and analytics
    • Participate in governance forums and support audit/compliance readiness
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
    • Act as a liaison between application teams, platform engineering, and leadership
    • Translate technical observability capabilities into business value and operational outcomes
    • Drive stakeholder alignment on priorities, onboarding scope, and success metrics
    • Provide regular updates on onboarding progress, risks, and value realization
  • Data, Reporting & Value Measurement
    • Track onboarding metrics, platform adoption, and coverage across environments
    • Support development of reporting to demonstrate value (e.g., improved reliability, reduced MTTR, coverage growth)
    • Analyze gaps in observability coverage and recommend prioritization strategies
    • Prepare well-documented functional specifications for assigned projects, test plans, test scripts, and execution of test scripts.
  • Responsible for research and analysis of complex data, ensuring functional design of assigned projects is accurate.
  • Serve as mentor to less experienced staff, assisting in application training, research analysis, and project methodology consultation.
  • Schedule and facilitate project team meetings, document and distribute minutes as applicable.
  • Meet with business client to discuss requested application changes related to an enterprise-wide or business initiative, compliance/regulatory requirement, needed system change due to contractual agreement or system maintenance (business as usual [BAU]), ensuring a thorough understanding of specifications for assigned applications.
  • Participate in design discussions and ensure required functional specifications are delivered.
  • Participate in meetings with lines of business to identify their requirements in how an application looks and feels to the end user and provide feedback to clients regarding business requirements to ensure technology applications support internal/external customer needs and products/services as provided by lines of business.
  • Review business requirements with the technology team to ensure understanding of project requirements.
  • Coordinate and provide estimates for complex projects and complete estimates for assigned components for projects, inclusive of timelines and project phases.
  • Serve as subject matter expert to consult and advise on how applications may be impacted by enterprise-wide initiatives, like an acquisition or major change in products/services provided to customers.
  • May serve as Test Coordinator for large project initiatives involving multiple applications.
  • Participate in and document data mapping for integration of systems, conversion and acquisition-related projects to understand how applications may need to change or be impacted by enterprise-wide initiatives, like regulatory requirements, other system enhancements or business initiatives.
  • Work with other testing teams, when applicable, to prepare test plans and scripts based on functional specifications, as well as to manage and execute test scripts verifying that changes and enhancements work and perform as required.
  • Serve as functional lead with other project team members on other systems that impact the project.
  • Monitor functional specifications and change requests to ensure the project stays within scope and meets regulatory requirements, while ensuring adherence to business requirements and Corporate Technology standards.
  • Ensure the Bank process and documentation is followed to ensure adherence to Corporate Technology standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure change requests are consistently documented, reviewed and resolved to ensure the application is working to support products and services required by the line of business.
  • Ensure efficient and timely resolution of issues arising from testing or implementation to ensure expected performance.
  • Ensure issues, incidents and questions are documented, reported as resolved as needed.
  • Coordinate and manage post-implementation by getting feedback, resolving any issues and completing a debrief including actual to plan for timeline and financials.
  • Assist in developing expense and capital budgets and employee appraisals.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in coordinating between applications and business units.

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in Observability Documentation and Planning
  • Minimum 7+ years of working with enterprise applications, system onboarding, or platform adoption
  • Minimum 7+ years of working in Agile environments with backlog and delivery management
