Test Engineer
Job Summary
Yulista Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer to support the planning, execution, and management of complex Department of Defense test and evaluation activities. The Test Engineer provides technical leadership throughout the test lifecycle, including requirements development, test planning, system integration, verification and validation, data collection, analysis, reporting, and operational support. This position collaborates with government customers, engineering teams, and test personnel to ensure successful execution of developmental and operational test events.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Develop, analyze, and manage test requirements in support of customer objectives. Provide technical expertise in test planning, test execution, and product evaluation. Develop test plans, test procedures, and supporting technical documentation. Configure hardware, software, instrumentation, and test environments to support assigned testing activities. Support engineering efforts throughout the system lifecycle, including design, development, integration, installation, verification and validation, certification, testing, and sustainment. Coordinate with Government Action Officers and stakeholders to develop and execute test planning activities. Participate in test planning meetings and provide technical recommendations supporting mission objectives. Assist in developing cost estimates and resource requirements for test activities. Support instrumentation planning, certification, and integration to meet test objectives. Prepare implementation plans and Government Furnished Property (GFP) requests. Develop Instrumentation Certification, Data Management, Data Collection, Test Operations, Test Control, and Logistics Support Plans. Develop training materials, lesson plans, and technical documentation supporting test operations. Support staffing and resource planning for test organizations. Coordinate data collection, reduction, management, and analysis (DCRMA) activities. Supervise field operations, logistics, data collection, and data management activities supporting test events. Serve as Test Team Lead or Site Lead for multi-location test events, as assigned. Participate in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and supervising test personnel. Develop and review test planning documentation, technical reports, and project deliverables. Prepare labor reports, project status reports, and technical briefings for customers and program leadership. Develop and execute data collection methodologies, quality control procedures, and accountability processes. Oversee data reduction, quality assurance, verification, and validation activities. Evaluate instrumentation requirements and recommend appropriate collection systems. Analyze test results and prepare technical reports, presentations, charts, and graphical products. Evaluate system performance and document technical findings, deficiencies, and recommendations. Plan, coordinate, and manage periodic field testing activities. Continuously evaluate test processes and implement lessons learned to improve future testing methodologies. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physical Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution. Minimum of eight (8) years of experience supporting developmental testing, operational testing, systems engineering, or test and evaluation programs. Experience developing and executing test plans, test procedures, and technical documentation. Experience supporting data collection, analysis, verification, validation, and reporting activities. Experience coordinating multidisciplinary test teams and customer stakeholders. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting Department of Defense Test and Evaluation (T&E) programs. Experience serving as a Test Team Lead or Site Lead. Experience supporting multi-site or complex test events. Knowledge of instrumentation systems, data acquisition, and data management processes. Experience preparing cost estimates, implementation plans, and logistics support documentation. Active Secret Security Clearance.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Thorough knowledge of developmental and operational test methodologies. Strong understanding of systems engineering, verification and validation, and test lifecycle processes. Ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams in fast-paced environments. Knowledge of instrumentation planning, data collection, quality assurance, and configuration management. Strong technical writing and reporting skills. Ability to analyze complex technical data and communicate findings effectively. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting customer requirements. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard engineering and test documentation tools.
Travel Requirements
Travel up to 25% may be required to support customer locations, field testing, technical reviews, and program execution.
Security Clearance
Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
