Job Summary

The Cylinder Loader to support daily warehouse and cylinder filling operations. This role is responsible for loading and unloading delivery trucks, filling high-pressure gas cylinders, inspecting equipment and cylinders for safety and quality, maintaining accurate records, and supporting inventory and general warehouse activities. The ideal candidate is comfortable performing physically demanding work, follows safety procedures, and works effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Job Responsibilities



  • Load delivery trucks for scheduled shipments.
  • Unload empty cylinders from delivery vehicles and prepare them for refilling or storage.
  • Fill industrial, medical, and specialty gas cylinders using approved compression, temperature, and pressure procedures.
  • Safely operate and maintain equipment used to pump and package gases into cylinders.
  • Perform required pre-fill and post-fill inspections and testing to ensure cylinders meet quality and safety standards.
  • Remove damaged or defective cylinders from service and coordinate required maintenance or repairs.
  • Inspect, monitor, and maintain pumping equipment, pressure gauges, and related devices.
  • Fill cylinders to the appropriate pressure or weight specifications.
  • Maintain accurate cylinder filling records and operational documentation.
  • Assist with inventory management and stock organization.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Assist customers when needed and provide excellent customer service.
  • Follow all safety procedures, standard operating procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Work overtime as needed to support operational demands.


Job Requirements



  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous warehouse, manufacturing, production, or industrial experience preferred.
  • Experience operating material handling equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to accurately complete required documentation and records.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.


Education



  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.


Work Experience



  • Previous experience in warehouse, manufacturing, industrial, production, or gas cylinder operations is preferred.


Additional Job Details (Commute, Attendance, etc.)



  • Onsite position in a warehouse and industrial work environment.
  • Requires prolonged standing for up to 8 hours.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, and repetitive motion.
  • Ability to routinely lift 25-75 pounds and occasionally lift more than 100 pounds.
  • Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, pushing, and pulling required.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
  • Overtime may be required based on business needs.
