Job Summary

The Warehouse Operator is responsible for supporting daily shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse operations while ensuring the accurate preparation, packaging, and shipment of finished goods. This role operates warehouse equipment, maintains inventory accuracy, and follows established safety and quality standards to support efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities



  • Prepare, package, label, and ship finished goods according to customer and shipping requirements.
  • Inspect packaging materials, pallets, containers, and products to ensure quality and shipment accuracy.
  • Verify products are correctly packed and assigned to the appropriate customer orders.
  • Complete shipping documentation and maintain accurate shipping records.
  • Stage completed orders for shipment and ensure timely loading and dispatch.
  • Report damaged products, packaging, or inventory discrepancies to management.
  • Rotate between shipping, receiving, packing, loading, and general warehouse duties as needed.
  • Pick, pack, stage, and transport materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Assist with inventory movement, stock consolidation, and warehouse organization.
  • Maintain accurate inventory transactions using warehouse management systems and inventory tracking tools.
  • Deliver shipping documents and materials to designated departments as required.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial equipment.
  • Utilize barcode scanners, hand tools, power tools, shrink-wrap equipment, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by supporting housekeeping and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follow all warehouse safety procedures, standard operating procedures, and quality requirements.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and participate in required safety training.
  • Communicate operational issues, equipment concerns, and shipment delays to supervisors promptly.
  • Support inventory control, warehouse efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional warehouse and logistics duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of warehouse, shipping, or logistics experience.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial equipment.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning equipment preferred.
  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.


Education



  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.


Work Experience



  • Minimum of 3 years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, or distribution experience required.
  • Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment required.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, distribution, or regulated production environment preferred.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, and shipping documentation preferred.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement practices preferred.
