  • Support of the Construction Division as well as direct support to the Director of Construction.

    • Apply knowledge and skills to resolve complex, confidential, and non-routine administrative problems independently and/or with others.
    • Make recommendations to Construction Division Director as it relates to processes and procedures. Implement these changes independently.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training -Work requires knowledge of basic mathematical, research and communications principles normally acquired through two years of postsecondary education.

Experience - Work generally requires three (3) years of clerical or research experience to acquire skills in administrative or project research responsibilities as well as accepted office organization, communications and research practices.

A bachelor's degree in a field of study directly related to the specific position may be substituted for the education and two years of the experience requirement.

OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.

  • Monitor and coordinate the processing of service requests/work orders submitted to Engineering and Operations.
  • Review service requests for clarity, completeness, or feasibility;

    • Approve request for estimate and/or work order completion;
    • Discuss details of request as needed with customer or departmental personnel.


  • Verify accuracy of appropriate funding source and g/l accounts to all service requests to ensure proper billing of services provided.
  • Use departmental cost tracking system and SAP/R3 to monitor and track service requests/work orders;

    • Enter and retrieve data;
    • Make corrective billing of charges through journal voucher process.
    • Work with Project Managers to resolve issues with eBuilder and funding sources for projects


  • Maintain interface with departmental, School of Medicine and Hospital personnel to obtain and provide information to verify or support financial records and ensure compliance with established University policies and procedures;

    • Prepare correspondence & answer inquiries regarding accounting information as required.

Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $18.92 to USD $28.09.
