The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing has been the leader in nursing education in North Carolina throughout its history. Established in 1950, it was the first school of nursing in North Carolina to offer a four-year baccalaureate nursing degree program followed by the first master's degree program, the first continuing education program for nurses, first doctoral program, and first accelerated BSN option to students with college degrees. This is a 12-month fixed term position reporting to a Division Chair. The fixed term faculty member may have teaching responsibilities in didactic, clinical, laboratory, and/or simulation settings in the prelicensure programs. Expertise in adult health, pathophysiology, and pharmacology preferred. The faculty member may serve as course coordinator, oversee advisement of prelicensure honors projects, serve on BSN, MSN, DNP and/or PhD committees. Additional service and scholarship commiserate with rank.

Master's degree in nursing required.

Doctorate preferred.
Eligibility for RN License in North Carolina at least 2 years of clinical experience,
Ability to demonstrate leadership in academic practices.
Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator ( CHSE)
Certified Nurse Educator ( CNE) or Certified Academic Clinical Nurse Educator (CNEcl)
Expertise in adult health, pathophysiology and/or pharmacology

This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. This position will be required to report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual training about reporting responsibilities.
