Avion Solutions Inc., a 100% employee-owned company, seeks candidates for an ASI Systems Analyst to support Cargo PO. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Review and develop system design requirements to support CH47F and associated avionics programs.

  • Review hardware, software, and system design documentation for technical accuracy and compliance.

  • Write, review, and contribute to Statements of Work (SOWs), design specifications, and user manuals.

  • Participate in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs), Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), and Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs).

  • Review softwarerelated elements of safety documentation, including System Safety Risk Assessments (SSRA), System Safety Hazard Analyses (SSHA), Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA), and Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analyses (FMECA).

  • Serve as CH47F Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the weekly CTES Government Software Configuration Control Board.

  • Provide test witnessing and oversight throughout hardware, software, and system-level validation activities.

  • Review test plans, test procedures, and test reports for hardware, software, and integrated systems.

  • Review airworthiness documentation such as Airworthiness Qualification Plans (AQP), Airworthiness Qualification Specifications (AQS), Plans for Software Aspects of Certification (PSAC), Software Accomplishment Summaries (SAS), and Airworthiness Releases (AWR).
    Manage and update action items for the ASI Weekly Obsolescence Working Group.

  • Provide programmatic and technical support for the Cargo Avionics Software Integration Team, including integration support for Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) and Air Ground Network Radio (AGNR).

  • Support definition of software requirements and verification documentation for integrating capabilities into the CH47F Avionics Software Emulation (AvSE), including efforts related to the Reconfigurable Virtual Collective TrainerAviation (AVCAT replacement) and Heads Up Display units.

  • Support Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case discussions.

  • Assist in the development of guidance, processes, practices, and requirements related to Navigation and Airworthiness Qualification.

  • Review new source approval packages for hardware and systems.

  • Review Modification Work Orders and other aircraft integration documentation.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

  • BS in a relevant field.

  • 9+ Years of experience.

  • Experience supporting military aviation systems, preferably rotary-wing platforms.

  • Background in systems engineering, avionics integration, or software/hardware verification.

  • Demonstrated experience participating in design reviews (PDR/CDR/TRR) and technical interchange meetings.

  • Experience reviewing systems safety documentation such as SSRA, SSHA, FHA, or FMECA.

  • Familiarity with airworthiness processes, documentation, and qualification standards.

  • Experience reviewing or developing system requirements, specifications, and technical documentation.

  • Ability to interpret and evaluate test plans, test procedures, and technical reports.

  • Experience supporting configuration control or software/hardware change management.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain/maintain a DoW security clearance.

  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CH47F platform experience and/or prior role as SME supporting Chinook avionics or mission systems.

  • Experience with Avionics Software Emulation (AvSE), Heads Up Display integrations, or collective trainer systems such as AVCAT.

  • Knowledge of Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) and AGNR systems integration.

  • Prior experience supporting Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs.

  • Familiarity with Army Aviation airworthiness standards, including AQP, AQS, PSAC, SAS, and AWR documentation.

  • Experience with source approval processes and Modification Work Orders.

  • Strong understanding of navigation systems qualification and airworthiness processes.

  • Programmatic support experience for crossfunctional or multidiscipline engineering teams.
