The Opportunity:

The University of Central Florida is seeking a Compliance Investigator to join University Compliance and Ethics. This position supports UCF's comprehensive compliance and ethics program by assisting with investigations, responding to reports and inquiries, and supporting the administration of the UCF IntegrityLine.

The Compliance Investigator will play an important role in helping ensure concerns are reviewed consistently, documented appropriately, and resolved in alignment with university processes. This position performs intake of inquiries and complaints, assesses appropriate university response, develops and executes investigative plans, conducts interviews, gathers and reviews documentation, prepares investigative reports and action plans, and supports follow-up and case closure.

Responsibilities:


  • Performs intake of inquiries and complaints and assesses for appropriate university response.

  • Develops and executes investigative plans. Conducts interviews, gathers and reviews relevant documentation, prepares investigative reports, action plans, and follow up.

  • Ensures appropriate documentation and close out of all investigations in shared files and UCF IntegrityLine.

  • Assists with the administration of the UCF IntegrityLine including the development of standard processes, procedures, and templates.

  • Assists with the collection and reporting of IntegrityLine data to identify trends, gaps, weaknesses, and preparing analytics.

  • Assists with IntegrityLine training materials and website content, reviews/researches policies, regulations, statutes for updates to investigation and IntegrityLine program.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience conducting investigations, including intake, interviews, documentation review, report writing, and follow-up.

  • Experience interpreting and applying policies, procedures, regulations, or statutes in a compliance, ethics, HR, legal, government, or higher education setting.

  • Experience documenting and tracking cases using a case management, hotline, compliance, or similar reporting system.

  • Experience analyzing complaint or investigation data to identify trends, risks, gaps, or process improvement opportunities.

  • Experience developing or improving procedures, templates, training materials, or other resources that support consistent case handling.

  • Experience handling confidential or sensitive information with discretion, neutrality, and professionalism.

  • Experience working in higher education, public sector, government, compliance, legal, HR, or a related environment.


The most successful candidates may possess the following qualities:


  • Strong judgment and objectivity when assessing sensitive matters.

  • Excellent interviewing, listening, and fact-gathering skills.

  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, organized reports.

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage complex information with discretion and professionalism.
