Alternative Capital Markets (ACM)

Alternative Capital Markets is a global team with 80+ alternative investment professionals across eight offices (New York, Albany, Dallas, London, Zurich, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Shenzhen), responsible for over $120B+ in AUS, serving institutions, foundations, family offices, high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals. ACM is the architect of the Wealth Alternatives platform including private equity, growth / venture capital, private credit, private real estate, hedge funds, co-investments and impact private investing. These offerings include AM Private, XIG, and third-party external investment strategies, as well as differentiated private company access via both internal and external referrals. ACM's full-service capital markets business covers the entire lifecycle of an alternative investment, from investment sourcing to client solutions, as well as a new discretionary offering enabling programmatic platform access, an in-house liquidity platform for clients (qualified matching service, or QMS), and dedicated platform management and strategy.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL



  • Drive change to the Wealth experience by enhancing and streamlining alternative investment communications and resources for GS Wealth clients and advisors.
  • Collaborating with internal teams (Executive Office, Corporate Communications, PWM Marketing, TPW Marketing) and external partners (General Partners) to develop commercial strategies, educational content, market perspectives, and platform updates.
  • Stay ahead of relevant market trends to build out "Markets Perspectives" to ensure clients are comfortable with events that may impact investments.
  • Key initiatives include media engagement, industry conferences, leadership nominations, content creation (e.g., thematic one-pagers), client commentary, and proactive communication of fund activity with an end goal of ensuring clients, advisors, and prospects have access to up-to-date information, market insights, and leadership views on the alternatives landscape.
  • Collaborate with the TPW Alternatives Marketing team to develop and deliver educational content, build brand awareness, and drive integration for "Retail Alternatives" within the Third Party Wealth channel.


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR



  • Bachelors Degree or Higher
  • Good understanding of financial markets and investment instruments
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent client service skills, with the ability to translate client and team needs into meaningful deliverables
  • Strong ability to multi-task, with an ability to manage multiple projects with different deadlines
  • Self-starter, with ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment and across group functions
  • Solid work ethic, motivation level, and strong attention to detail
  • SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 (must be obtained within 3 months)

Salary Range

The expected base salary for this Albany, NY, United States-based position is $85,000-$160,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
