Coke Florida is looking for a Preventative Maintenance Fleet Technician based out of our Tampa location. Working 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Tuesday - Saturday.
What You Will Do:
As a Preventative Maintenance Fleet Technician, you will execute standardized preventative maintenance program to ensure fleet reliability, safety compliance and operational uptime. This role focuses on inspection quality, consistency and early issue identification.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs) using standardized checklists on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles
- Identify, document and escalate emerging mechanical issues before failure occurs
- Execute basic repairs and component replacements (fluids, filters, brakes, lights and tires)
- Ensure all work meets DOT, safety and company compliance standards
- Maintain accurate digital service records and inspection logs
- Safely operate and move fleet vehicles as needed
- Maintain tools, work area and equipment in accordance with Coke Florida safety standards
- Collaborate with Fleet Technicians and Leads to prioritize repair needs
For this role, you will need:
- High School Diploma or GED requirement
- 1+ year of hands-on vehicle maintenance
- Foundational knowledge of:
- Vehicle systems such as brakes, suspension, basic electrical
- Preventative maintenance procedures and schedules
- Ability to:
- Follow detailed checklists with high accuracy
- Identify early signs of mechanical wear/failure
- Ability to use web-based tools for work orders and maintenance systems
- Basic understanding of MS Office 365
- Ability to bend, kneel and crouch while performing assigned duties.
- Valid liability insurance and driving record within Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) policy guidelines*
*Major moving violations include, but are not limited to, leaving the scene of an accident, driving under the influence, and reckless driving. Minor moving violations include, but are not limited to, speeding, driving too close, failure to stop, and improper lane changes. Driving records, including minor moving violations, will be evaluated according to Coke Florida guidelines to determine eligibility for the position.
Additional qualifications that will make you successful in this role:
- Experience working with diesel equipment
- Technical/vocational training
- CDL A or B Certification and/or willingness to obtain
- Completion or enrollment in vocational or technical training program focused on diesel/fleet repairs and maintenance.
