Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time NUS position.
Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment? Maine Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Unit Secretary to join our team on R4, where you'll play a vital role in supporting patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the unit.

As a Nursing Unit Secretary, you'll serve as the communication hub for the unit, working closely with nurses, providers, patients, and families. Your ability to multitask, prioritize, and provide exceptional customer service will help create a positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

What You'll Do:

  • Coordinate communication between patients, families, providers, and care team members
  • Manage unit clerical duties, including answering phones and maintaining patient records
  • Support patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating unit activities

Help maintain an organized, efficient, and welcoming environment

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Current BLS certification preferred or may be required based on location.
  3. Experience: One year of hospital or health care setting preferred.

The pay range for this position is $19.10to $22.53 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
