Casual Research Assistant

Job Responsibilities
In this role, the employee will assist with the development of the Experimental Neutrino Detection experiment's data acquisition system and its monitoring and control system (80%). When the hardware is ready, they will also assist with the assembly of the detector itself (20%).

The Department of Physics and Astronomy offers B.S. and B.A. degrees in Physics, a BS in Engineering Physics, and a M.S. in Physics. The campus is located in northeastern Minnesota at the tip of Lake Superior, is the home of the Large Lakes Observatory, and is approximately 150 miles north of Minneapolis/St. Paul and also 150 miles south of the NOvA experiment Ash River Laboratory. The department has 14 full time faculty and research strengths in astrophysics, particle physics, condensed matter physics, and physical oceanography/limnology. Pay Range: $20.00 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
