Position Summary The UNM-Taos Testing Center is seeking an organized, student-focused individual to support testing operations while advancing UNM's commitment to student success, access, and service excellence. This role contributes to a welcoming, efficient, and equitable testing environment that supports academic achievement and persistence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer tests for students including course exams and placement assessments, ensuring equitable access and academic integrity

  • Follow established protocols and compliance standards for secure, accurate test proctoring

  • Support student success initiatives by assisting with scheduling, coordination, and timely communication via the Testing Center email account

  • Serve as a frontline resource for students and staff, providing accurate information, answering calls, and directing visitors

  • Maintain and consult testing records while ensuring confidentiality and data integrity

  • Promote a welcoming and inclusive environment through high-quality customer service and culturally responsive interactions

  • Contribute to efficient daily operations and continuous improvement efforts within the Testing Center

  • Assist with additional projects and center needs during lower-volume periods to support overall team effectiveness

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to manage calendar appointments and scheduling systems

  • Basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office applications

  • Currently enrolled UNM student eligible for Federal Work-Study

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong communication and student-centered customer service skills

  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion

  • Demonstrated reliability, organization, and ability to work independently

  • Commitment to supporting a diverse and inclusive campus community

  • Willingness to assist with operational and improvement projects as needed
