Summary

The Marine Pile Driver position is a skilled craftsperson knowledgeable and experienced in installing all sizes and dimensions of piles on or near the water, including large cylinder piles and sheet piles; prior knowledge of combi wall and trestle installation is a plus. A reliable form of transportation is needed. We offer competitive wages and subsistence for this position. The current work rotation is six ten-hour days per week with extended time off granted on a requested basis. This position is for the Belle Chase, Louisiana, area, although applicants from other states are encouraged to apply.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of rigging and signaling with all types of cranes and marine operations
  • Set up and operation of diesel impact hammers and leads.

Installation of pile templates

  • Set up, operate, and maintain vibratory hammers.
  • Work in a marine environment
  • Assist in the development of JSAs and the implementation of project safety standards.
    • Participation in site safety, planning meetings, and near-miss reporting.
    • Ability to skillfully work with standard tools such as (but not limited to): skill saws, chain saws, hammers, wire cutters, torches, concrete saws, drills, and other general hand and power tools.
    • complies with Manson's Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct
    • Responsible for practicing safe work standards and promoting an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) work environment as a condition of employment
    • Additional duties may be assigned.

    Qualifications

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.     • 3 to 5 years of pile driving experience.
    • Knowledge and understanding of how to drive cylinder and sheet pile.
    • Good communication skills: the ability to give and receive direction, understand, respond, and follow verbal and written communications and instructions.
    • Valid picture identification is required.
