Overview: To ensure a safe, efficient, well-maintained hotel environment while providing maintenance services to guests in a courteous, professional, and engaging manner. Responsibilities: o Maintain all public areas, guest rooms, meeting rooms and corridors on an on-going basis including paint, wallpaper and plastering. o Performs preventive maintenance of guest rooms, following preventive maintenance guidelines for Omni CARE program. o Maintain correct stock/inventory of paint supplies and materials and communicate when replenishment is needed. o Aid guests in locating other areas of the hotel (walk them to destination if possible). o Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation. o Must be familiar with Omni's systems and procedures. o Respond to all requests. o Assist engineers and mechanics as needed with repairs. o Keep all work areas clean. Qualifications: o Previous experience as a commercial painter required, hotel experience preferred. o Must be able to brush, roll, spray, and work on different textures. o Must be able to patch, float and repair damaged surfaces. o Must be able to work with stains, lacquers, varnishes, epoxy and Bondo. o Must be able to apply caulk. o Must be willing to work based on business and occupancy levels. o Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. o Must be able to interact and communicate with the hotel guests.
