Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort is seeking an energetic and guest-focused Barista/Cashier to provide quick, efficient, and professional service to our guests. In this role, you will prepare specialty coffee beverages, process transactions, and ensure a welcoming and clean cafe environment that reflects Omni's high standards of hospitality. Your friendly personality, attention to detail, and commitment to exceptional service will help create a positive and memorable experience for every guest. Responsibilities Guest Service & Operations * Provide friendly, efficient, and professional service to all guests * Prepare and serve coffee beverages and food items according to established standards * Accurately process guest transactions including cash, credit cards, and room charges * Maintain a cash bank and follow proper cash handling procedures * Verify guest room numbers when processing room charges * Communicate effectively with guests and associates to ensure guest needs are met * Address guest questions or concerns in a professional and timely manner Cafe & Work Area Maintenance * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe, service areas, and equipment * Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure lobby and public areas remain clean and presentable * Follow all food safety and proper food handling procedures * Ensure all equipment is used safely and maintained properly Inventory & Administrative Support * Assist with monthly inventory and stock control * Adhere to company policies regarding employee purchases and transactions * Interact with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction Qualifications * Minimum 1 year of cash handling experience required * Previous barista, cafe, or food & beverage experience preferred * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to remain professional and positive in all situations * Ability to listen, understand, and respond effectively to guest and team member concerns * Understanding of proper uniform and grooming standards * Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays Tools & Equipment * Espresso machine and coffee brewing equipment * Coffee pots and beverage machines * Pizza oven and toaster * Microwave and refrigeration equipment * Bus trays, dishware, silverware, and glassware * Telephone and point-of-sale system * Standard office equipment (computer, printer, copier, telephone) * Corporate software programs such as Kronos WFC, OpenTable, Synergy, and Epitome Why Work at Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort?
