About This Role
The primary responsibility of the position is to provide a strong service component that also includes applied research associated with diagnostic case material, emerging disease investigations, and collaborative research projects. Service will include extensive use of Next Generation Sequencing, coordination of molecular analysis and interpretation of cases submitted to KVDL, participating in field investigations along with practitioner clients and outreach personnel, contributing microbiological (primarily virology) and molecular diagnostic expertise for new agent discovery investigations and research projects, and providing expertise and leadership during emerging animal/zoonotic disease events. Worksite Description This position is Hybrid eligible. All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law.
