Job Description:

Propelis is seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to join the Corporate Tax team. The selected candidate will be responsible for annual reports, business licenses, and exemption certificate management. This individual will play a key role in maintaining the overall internal business relationship of the transactional tax function for the company.

Pittsburgh, PA; Chicago, IL, or Remote

Target Responsibilities:



  • Prepare and file annual reports and business licenses
  • Assist with monthly sales and use tax compliance responsibilities, as necessary
  • Manage all exemption certificates requests from vendors and customers
  • Maintain OneSource tax software (product exceptions, customer exemptions, rate overrides, material group mappings, etc.)
  • Respond to tax authority inquiries and audits, as necessary
  • Assist with account reconciliations for various tax liabilities
  • Identify and assist with process improvements
  • Effectively communicate within the organization to facilitate information



Required Experience:



  • 3+ years of previous administrative, customer service, tax/finance or relevant experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, & Internet Applications
  • SAP or tax engine experience a plus

  • Strong customer service skills for both internal and external customers
  • Strong desire to take on new responsibilities and exhibits behavior of personal accountability
  • Ability to successfully complete multiple tasks within project timelines and work independently
  • Knowledge or experience with data analytic or robotic platforms, a plus

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk, hear and see.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. This is a remote position in the US. We are open to candidates in various states, with the exception of those residing in the following: AK, DC, ME, NH, NM, OK, HI, MS, MT, NV, NE, ND, SD, VT, WY, WV

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $53,000 USD - $63,000 USD annually. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.

Qualifications
Experience
SAP or tax engine experience a plus (preferred)
