The main function of this Business Analyst role is to maintain operational vendor relationships, acting as a business analyst for non-IT projects and GIS-driven asset integrity programs, filling an organizational role above an administrative level but below a management level. Responsibilities include maintaining project management processes, including field production goals, deadlines, GIS data QA metrics, and project budgets.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Review ArcGIS Survey123 data exceptions and resolve field data entry anomalies.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of how Atmospheric Corrosion Inspection (ACI) survey information is stored and integrated across GIS databases, including Workforce, Survey123, and Big Query.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of SAP asset management modules and PowerBI reporting dashboards.
  • Perform rigorous Quality Assurance (QA) on incoming Workforce and Survey123 GIS field inspection records.
  • Respond directly to internal and external ACI inspection audit requests by extracting relevant compliance and GIS data.
  • Track where ACI inspections are required geographically and monitor where field work is currently assigned. Request additional work packages be loaded into Workforce as needed to maintain field production.
  • Master the functional use of Workforce and Survey123 mobile applications to troubleshoot technical GIS mapping and data issues for contractors working in the field.
  • Track completed ACI surveys and the number of active field contractors by geographic area.
  • Additional operational and project tasks as necessary.

  • Verbal and written communication skills, exceptional attention to GIS and operational data detail, customer service, and interpersonal skills for managing vendor communication.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time effectively in a high-volume data environment.
  • Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and field production methods.
  • Strong ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to project tracking and operational data as needed.
  • Strong ability to analyze business trends, track field operational metrics, and project future resource expenses.
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel; Enterprise Application experience (specifically SAP and Esri/GIS environments) is required.


Education/Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in business management, economics, finance, accounting, or a relevant operational field required.
  • 5-7 years of experience required, with a preference for candidates from utilities, oil and gas, or field asset integrity operations utilizing GIS workflows.
