Position Overview We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. This role is essential to delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. This position is open due to a backfill for a departing Medical Assistant, and we are looking for someone who will contribute positively to the team and patient experience. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch) Key Responsibilities * Room patients and prepare them for examination * Clean and maintain exam rooms * Perform instrument sterilization * Complete disability and FMLA paperwork * Handle prescription call-ins * Prepare pre-operative paperwork * Manage pre-authorizations and pre-certifications for procedures * Schedule patient appointments * Conduct phone triage * Assist with CT scan setup and patient preparation * Order medical and office supplies * Support surgery scheduling (backup support) * Assist physicians and follow clinical direction * Perform additional duties as assigned by the clinic manager Qualifications & Skills * Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, internet, practice management software) * Knowledge of medical terminology * Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively * Experience completing medical-related documentation and paperwork * Excellent communication skills with a patient-first approach Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Appleton, WI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
