Security Officer - Full Time

As a Security Officer - Full Time in Niles, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong customer service and communication. In this unarmed role, you will bring a caring, reliable approach, work as part of a team, and act with integrity while helping create a positive experience for employees, visitors, and drivers.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details through proper site communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, parking areas, trailer yards, entry points, and perimeter locations to help identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor the movement of visitors, drivers, and/or vendors entering and leaving the location, following post orders and documenting activity as required.
• Support loss prevention and operational continuity efforts by observing for unauthorized access, damaged fencing or gates, and/or other conditions that could impact the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
