Summary of Position:	The College of Health Professions at Ferris State University seeks a diverse group of outstanding applicants to provide direct clinical supervision and instruction to students in the Baccalaureate Degree Nursing program, as assigned within acute care or community clinical settings. This is an hourly position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses or approved FSU sites, including clinical sites. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2026 at the earliest and January 2027 at the latest. However, these are estimated dates and can be revised if needed. The selected candidate for this position must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire without employer assistance or sponsorship now or in the future. The university will not assist with any F1 EAD's, OPT, H1B, etc.
Position Type:	Faculty - Temporary & Continuing
Required Education:	Master of Science in Nursing, or Bachelor's of Science in Nursing, and a graduate degree in nursing completed within two years of hire.
Required Work Experience:	Two years of RN clinical experience through clinical practice or other avenues.
Required Licenses and Certifications:	Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Michigan
Physical Demands:	Bending Moving Twisting Repetitive movement Standing
Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered:	Five or more years of clinical experience in direct patient care, and previous teaching experience in a pre-licensure nursing program. Master's degree in nursing.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:	Provide direct clinical supervision and instruction to students in the Pre-Licensure Baccalaureate Degree nursing program. Clinical faculty have professional responsibilities in patient care and clinical instruction, which may include being accessible to students outside of regular clinical assignment hours. Participation in traditional functions that have academic significance, which include assessing students' clinical proficiency in accordance with university systems and guidelines. Clinical faculty are required to provide in-person instruction in hospitals and clinical sites. Cultivate an environment of belonging that values, respects, supports, and celebrates individual similarities and differences, allowing students, faculty, and staff to thrive authentically. Support, promote, and develop initiatives for University student enrollment and retention. Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
