The division includes One Stop Student Services (integrating Financial Aid and the Registrar), the Offices of Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions, and the Center for Pre-College Programs.
The Support Services Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting daily operations within the Office of the Registrar and across the Division of Enrollment Management. This position provides essential administrative and operational support to ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of registration, records, and related processes. The role also contributes to project coordination, policy implementation, and continuous process improvement to enhance service delivery for students and campus partners. |
| Posting Summary |
Rutgers University- Newark (RU-N), an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise is seeking a Support Services Coordinator. Reporting to the Assistant Registrar, this position provides day-to-day support to the Office of the Registrar Staff as well as all constituents of the Newark Campus: Faculty, Staff, Deans, Students, Alumni and third parties. This position is a critical member of the Registrar Team, and participant of the Division of Enrollment Management Team-Office of the Associate Vice Chancellor; Office of Admissions; Office of Financial Aid; Academic Foundation Center and the One Stop Student Services Center.
This position is responsible for and not limited to the following.
- Assists with all administrative/registration/record processing and communications via various mediums
- Meets regularly with the Registrar's leadership team to assist in the strategic planning for projects, policy, and procedures
- Ensures accurate data entry and auditing as outlined in the office's daily operations calendar, adhering to state cut-off, term grade audits, demographic record clean-up, record retention and document purge scheduling.
- Provides critical support in evaluating project statuses, defining proposed outcomes, and collecting staff feedback to present innovative and efficient workflow processes that align with University and Department's policies and procedures with team members.
- Proactively collects team and constituent feedback and prepares appropriate recommendations to contribute to enhancing operations calendar critical to registration, record auditing and retention, orientation, events, certification, and production dates and deadlines to ensure year-round efficiency in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with competing demands.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Requires a minimum of 2 years' experience working at a Registrar's Office or in a higher education setting.
