Position Overview:

The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for the daily Order Filling, Shipping and Receiving for the Caribou Support Center. Provides training and direction for warehouse Team Members and serves as backup to Warehouse Supervisor.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assists in training of new team members, temporary workers, and retraining existing TMs as required in warehouse operations, safety, and procedures
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of Caribou policy and procedures
  • Ensures that warehouse crew meets established performance standards
  • Prepare and organize Supply Orders for processing on each shift and prepare warehouse and orders for efficient shift transitions
  • Schedule daily workflow with Shift Supervisor and monitor for performance each day
  • Review and audit picking accuracy of Team Members with ongoing review of high error items
  • Coach and counsel warehouse TMs as needed; escalate to Shift Supervisor if necessary
  • Participate in Cycle Counts on a regular basis
  • Review and update system information
  • Manage inter and intra-warehouse inventory transfers as necessary
  • Coordinate the daily consolidation of self-manufactured and warehouse materials
  • Select the appropriate shipping mode for each order
  • Prepare manifests and shipping documents
  • Process special shipping orders
  • Review all deliveries, validate shipment authorized and check all materials for count and damage
  • Maintain Receiving Log for all materials received
  • Process receiving documents and file as required
  • Direct the proper slotting and placement of receipts
  • Responsible for completing required training, understanding, and complying with all Food Safety and related programs
  • Responsible for understanding and assuring employees compliance with all Food Safety and related programs
  • Adhere to company policies, programs, and work rules
  • Compliance with all Government Regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 2 year associate/technical degree in business management or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a warehouse environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience in Multi-unit retail.

Physical Demands:

The physical requirements for this position are hearing, speaking, seeing, bending and reaching in addition to the following:

  • lifting up to 55 pounds,
  • infrequently lifting up to 80 pounds
  • being able to stand/walk for up to 8 hours/day
  • occasionally working up to 10 hours/day

Compensation Range:

$20.82 - $34.96 per hour

*Starting pay is subject to Local and State Minimum Wage regulations.

**Ranges reflect what employer reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for such position.

The physical demands for this position are reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical demands may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
