Under the direct supervision of the Urology Practice Manager,the Urology Nurse Supervisor, and the general supervision of the clinic providers and licensed nursing staff, the Urology RN performs a wide variety of patient care activities. These include: prioritizing and assisting with patient triage processing and preparation; assisting with urology examinations; administering medications; collecting and preparing laboratory tests; providing patient education; assisting with rooming and completing vital intake for patients; and assisting with in-basket messages. The RN will also assist in pre-procedure data collection, assist the physician and team during procedures, and assist in the post-procedure recovery area. This position requires initiative with the ability to work in a busy Urology clinic. In support of our growing patient-centered Care Navigation Hub, this RN position will also assist in phone symptom triage, appointment scheduling, referral assessment, care coordination, pre/post hospital and procedural follow-up with Urology patients, as part of our growing patient-centered Care Navigation Hub. This RN will also provide sick-call, vacation, and messaging coverage for the urology clinic team. The RN must consistently deliver an excellent experience for patients, providers, and team members in both virtual and in-clinic environments. Strong clinical judgment and communication skills are required for effective collaboration and care coordination across healthcare teams, ensuring optimal care for patients and families in a busy outpatient urology setting. Autonomous nursing care is the ability of a nurse to assess and provide nursing actions as appropriate for patient care populations based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge. The nurse is expected to practice autonomously consistent with ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance. Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $138,330 - $193,892 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $66.25 - $92.86 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
