Overview

The Manager is responsible for assisting in the management, coordination, and implementation of Investor Relations work plans and daily activities for Consolidated Edison, Inc. including the preparation and production of the Companys investor presentations and associated Talking Points for senior management, setting up corporate governance meetings with institutional investors, managing investor conference logistics, targeting prospective institutional investors by geography, and periodic benchmarking with peer companies. Working with the Treasurer and the Director of Investor Relations, the Section Manager serves as point of contact for investors and other members of the financial community, including acting as company spokesperson to the financial community, and in the process, abiding by the SECs Full Disclosure rules.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities
  • Strategic Support: Assist the Director of Investor Relations in executing strategy, gathering comprehensive financial/operational data, and preparing materials for senior management.
  • Investor/Analyst Relations: Build relationships with the financial community, representing the company at conferences and handling inquiries in compliance with SEC Regulation FD.
  • Earnings & Presentations: Lead the creation of quarterly earnings presentations, scripts, and talking points for senior executive engagements.
  • Market Analysis & Reporting: Monitor and report on stock performance, peer benchmarking, and Wall Street sentiment to management and the Board of Directors.
  • Roadshows & Targeting: Plan and execute investor non-deal roadshows and drive initiatives to expand the institutional shareholder base.
  • Corporate Governance & Sustainability: Lead investor engagement on governance, manage sustainability rating analysis, and coordinate responses to sustainability surveys.
  • Content & Website Management: Maintain the Investor Relations website and prepare and deliver through internal audio/visual presentations updates regarding company performance and market developments.
  • Contract & Vendor Oversight: Manage Investor Relations vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, develop, and manage junior Investor Relations staff (two resources).
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all disclosures, including NYCPSC CEO certifications, adhere to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or technical field and a minimum of 8 years work experience including at least 3 years in a financially-related or compliance-related area (including but not limited to accounting, corporate finance, capital markets, or regulatory compliance) or
  • Master's Degree and a minimum of 6 years work experience
Preferred Education/Experience
  • Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or technical field and a minimum of 6 of professional experience, with a minimum of three years spent in a field related to finance or compliance. This could include, but is not limited to, areas such as accounting, corporate finance, capital markets, financial compliance or regulatory compliance
Relevant Work Experience
  • Minimum 8 years of work experience including some exposure to finance, compliance and/ or sustainability, required.
  • Excellent oral and written communications, required.
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Office: EXCEL, Word, Power Point, required.
  • Proficient knowledge of finance and capital markets, preferred.
  • Experience leading / supervising a team, preferred.

Additional Physical Demands
  • The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
