Location: This is a hybrid remote/in-office role.

About the Team:

As a Video Specialist, you will support the visual narrative of Medidata's global brand. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious creator who is eager to dive into the end-to-end video production process and grow their skills within a fast-paced marketing team. Bringing a strong foundation in video editing and/or motion graphics, you will assist in creating engaging multimedia assets that capture our audience's attention. You will have a sharp eye for narrative flow and pacing, and a strong willingness to learn how to integrate modern, AI-driven workflows into daily production. In this role, you will work closely with, and learn from, a collaborative team, including the Senior Video Manager and Head of Creative.

Responsibilities:

  • Multi-Channel Video Production & Editing: Execute the day-to-day editing, sound design, and post-production of high-quality video content for paid media, digital advertising, social channels, and internal initiatives.

  • End-to-End Production Growth: Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and grow across all areas of the video process-actively participating in pre-production planning, storyboarding, script-to-screen workflows, and final execution.

  • Strict Brand Stewardship: Act as a guardian of Medidata's brand guidelines, ensuring that all motion graphics, lower thirds, typography, color grading, and video outputs maintain a premium, consistent visual identity.

  • Campaign Partnership & Narrative Pacing: Collaborate closely with the Campaigns and Content teams to translate marketing objectives into compelling visual stories, applying a sharp eye for narrative flow, timing, and engagement.

  • AI-Enhanced Workflow Exploration: Partner with the creative team to learn, experiment with, and integrate Generative AI video and audio tools into the workflow to accelerate asset production and explore innovative storytelling concepts.

  • Asset Management & Organization: Organize, archive, and maintain a structured library of video assets, project files, and templates, ensuring they are easily accessible and updated for global, cross-functional use.

  • Motion Graphics & Formatting: Integrate motion graphics and other visual assets to enhance video assets when applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, with a heavy focus on Premiere Pro and Lightroom. Experience or skill in After Effects is a huge plus.

  • Camera & Studio Basics: A foundational, base-level knowledge of operating Sony camera equipment and setting up basic lighting for video interviews or studio shoots.

  • AI Curiosity & Fluency: Familiarity with or an eagerness to use Generative AI tools (e.g., Midjourney, Adobe Firefly) to enhance creative workflows, explore concepts, and optimize asset generation.

  • Production Workflow Foundational Knowledge: A solid foundational understanding of the end-to-end video production lifecycle-from pre-production planning and storyboarding to execution, editing, and final post-production.

  • Brand Stewardship & Strategic Eye: The ability to interpret corporate brand guidelines creatively, with a commitment to maintaining strict adherence to core identity standards across all video assets.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present creative concepts to teammates and stakeholders, articulately explaining the "why" behind your editing and storytelling choices.

  • Agility & Proactivity: A motivated self-starter capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, staying organized, and adapting quickly in a fast-paced corporate marketing environment.

  • Passion for the Craft: A deep interest and genuine passion for branding, visual storytelling, marketing, and growing into a versatile video professional.

  • Experience: 2-3 years of professional video editing experience, preferably in a B2B, tech, or agency environment.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Visual Communications, or a related field.

  • Portfolio: A professional portfolio demonstrating expertise in video production, post production

  • Software: Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides for executive-level presentation design, Adobe Creative Suite, animation a plus.

  • End-to-End Production Experience: Hands-on experience in corporate video production, post-production editing, and global visual identity execution.

  • Industry Insights: Deep exposure to B2B marketing, corporate branding best practices, and the integration of cutting-edge creative AI tools in a fast-paced industry.

The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position located in New York is $66,00-$88,000.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses. Medidata believes that benefits should connect you to the support you need when it matters most and provides benefits, including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, 401(k) matching, family leave, flexible paid time off; and 10 paid holidays per year.

Salary Pay Transparency

Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $66000 and $88000, representing the base salary (or annualized salary based on estimated hourly compensation) and target bonus.
