Job Description:

Oversees Allina Health's Capital Planning program, including the development and execution of business plans, capital and operating budgets, and forecasts in support of the organization's strategic goals. Oversees annual capital budgeting process in alignment with annual and long range financial plan. Creates strategic alignment with executive leadership, finance leadership, service lines, business units, and key stakeholders as it relates to Allina Health's capital planning and approval process.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Capital Planning Management
    • Manages Allina Health's capital planning and budgeting program.
    • Manages relationships with internal partners in accordance with the organization's overarching strategies
    • Monitors progress and financial performance of approved plans, projects, and investments and escalate barriers to execution.
    • Ensures adherence to finance standard work and optimal utilization of available tools and resources.
    • Reviews business plans to ensure accuracy and alignment with organizational strategies and adherence to all applicable policies.
  • Capital Planning Cycle
    • Leads capital analytics and capital preview meetings with Allina executives.
    • Owns and manages capital related finance policies for Allina Health.
    • Owner of internal capital prioritization and approval process with review and approval committees.
  • Capital Planning Training and Development
    • Advises leadership on capital and business planning process and improvement opportunities.
    • Collaborates with finance and operational leaders as needed to support capital planning and budgeting.
    • Assists leaders to enhance financial acumen by effectively communicating complex topics.
    • Designs and implements ongoing education and training for leaders.
    • Uses experience and judgement to identify opportunities for improvement and communication recommendations to leaders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, finance, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • 7+ years of experience in finance or related field required in a health care setting

Pay Range

Pay Range: $50.20 to $69.46 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience and education. Additional incentives may be available, including discretionary monetary bonuses, goal-based bonuses, and other financial incentives.
