Responsibilities

Valley Hospital Phoenix is seeking a dynamic and talented Therapist (MA/MSW) to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals.

The Therapist (MA/MSW) The Licensed Therapist performs social services and psychotherapy functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while providing assessment, diagnosis, and psychotherapy treatment of individuals, couples, families, and groups to assist patient's in achieving their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, psycho-education, complete specialized clinical psychotherapy services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term family therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with the patient's treatment team and have a thorough understanding of the patient's behaviors, current presentation, and future treatment goals
  • Coordinate care with family, community, outpatient providers, and inpatient team via meetings with the individual responsible physician
  • Carry a caseload, meet with patients daily, and maintain accurate document

Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health,
    nursing, or related degree preferred
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a healthcare setting or managed carecompany, with experience in patient assessment, treatment planning, utilization management, and/or
    case management
  • Licensure: LMSW, LCSW, LAC, LPC, LIASC, LMFT, or other healthcare - related licensure required or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
