Position Summary The PlannerMaintenanceLineforecasts, plans, and schedules maintenance events to maintainFederal Aviation Administration (FAA)regulatory compliance.ThePlannerwill be responsible forensuring all maintenance is scheduled within the required timeprovidingviable options necessary to route, re-route,and swap aircraft flying linesto accommodatetheplanned maintenancerequirements.ThePlannerensures no overfly activity of maintenance tasks while balancing the needs of Technical Operations, System Operations, Marketing, and other internal/external customers. Essential Responsibilities Ensuresthat the required maintenance is scheduledand accomplished within the calendar,flight-hour,and flight cycle limits as specified byJetBlue'sapproved maintenance programs,Federal Aviation Regulations, Airworthiness Directives and Special Instructions Schedules and prepares work packages for Aircraft/EnginesInitial Airworthiness (IAW)established procedures Coordinates material support requirements for routine and non-routine items Managesplot and routing changes such that all maintenance events arescheduled and performedwithin the time interval (i.e.,flight hours, cycles,days,etc.) of the task while accounting forlabor, ground time, parts, tooling, facilities, weather, etc. Ensuresall scheduled planned maintenance is replotted correctlyafterany swap/reroute event Tracksaccomplishment of Aircraft Service and WeeklyChecks, as well as other low-time items, includingMaintenance Equipment Lists (MELs)and otherMaintenance Deferred Defect Records (MDDRs) Assistswith therecovery plan in the event the system operation is impacted by delays or cancellations Ensurescompliance withand tracking of aircraft to designated maintenance locations to meet projected induction date into JetBlue system(i.e.,maintenance ferries, repositioning flights, etc.) Collaborateswith System Operation, Airports and Technical Operations Leadership to identify operational issues which impactnecessary ground time for planned maintenance Collaborateswith training and integration of new planners fostering a positive learningenvironmentand helping promote continuous professional development within thedepartment Other duties as assigned MinimumExperience and Qualifications High School Diploma or General EducationDevelopment (GED)Diploma Two(2) yearsof aviation experience or one (1) year of leadership experience Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge Depending on location, may need to acquire and maintain a United States Customs Clearance Proficient with Microsoft OfficeSuite Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Airworthy Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins (SBs) Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical skills Ability to work well with others Available for overnight travel (10%) Available to work flexible hours with short notice Must pass aten (10) year background check andpre-employment drug test Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship Preferred Experience and Qualifications Bachelor's degree inAviationorBusiness Five(5)yearsofaviation experience inMaintenance Planning Five (5) years of leadership experience Proficient in TRAX andTOPS Establishing credible cross-divisional relationships Results oriented with the ability to balance diverse and dynamic operational requirements Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Flexibility, agility and change management skills Ability to work under pressure, multitask and make critical decisions in afast-pacedenvironment Crewmember Expectations: Regular attendance and punctuality Flexibility to work differenthours andshifts andbe available to respond onshort notice Ableto maintain a professional appearance When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity,Passion,and Fun Promote JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, SafetyPolicy,and behavioral standards Identify safetyand/or securityconcerns, issues,incidents,or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR)) Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies,procedures,and risk controls Uphold JetBlue's safety performance metric goals and understandhow they relate to their duties and responsibilities The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position.
