Consultant, Global Product Safety and Compliance

You are a safety and compliance professional who strives to find clarity within the complex global regulatory environment. The mix of ever-changing regulations and innovative products sparks excitement and intrigue in you. You are confident being a subject matter expert in a critical function and, when necessary, are not afraid to be challenged when justifying findings and positions to colleagues, management, and external authorities. You enjoy the blend of autonomy and being a member of ad-hoc cross-functional teams. You enjoy investigating, coordinating, and variety. What you will be doing:

You are joining a team whose primary mission is helping ensure that Steelcase's products comply with the thousands of regulations and laws around the globe and, most importantly, are safe for our customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or demonstrated equivalent technical acumen
• 3+ years of experience
• Proficiency/experience in product safety and compliance
• Global regulatory knowledge and cross-cultural experience
• Familiarity with standards organizations (e.g. BIFMA, UL, EN, etc.) and associated safety and performance standards
• Strong communication skills in mixed media with technical and non-technical audiences
