Important Notice: This position requires a weld test during the interview process. Candidates must bring their own welding hood and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to complete the weld test. The weld test and interview process will take a minimum of two hours onsite.

Job Summary

The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for performing MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel and stainless-steel pipe assemblies in accordance with production specifications and quality standards. This role performs precision welding, pipe assembly, inspection, and fabrication activities while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate possesses strong welding experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities



  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel and stainless-steel pipes and related components.
  • Weld couplings, outlets, fittings, and other attachments onto pipe assemblies according to specifications.
  • Assemble spool pieces, pipe sections, and related fabricated components through precision welding techniques.
  • Interpret work instructions, measurements, and fabrication requirements to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Inspect completed welds for quality, alignment, defects, and compliance with established standards.
  • Verify proper alignment and fit-up of pipe sections, couplings, and fittings prior to welding.
  • Identify and report defects including seam issues, material damage, splits, or other nonconformances.
  • Maintain welding equipment and workstations in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
  • Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance needs, and workplace safety concerns promptly.
  • Support production schedules while maintaining quality and efficiency standards.
  • Complete required training and documentation activities as assigned.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • Minimum of 3-5 years of welding and fabrication experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MIG and TIG welding processes.
  • Experience welding carbon steel and stainless-steel materials.
  • Ability to fabricate and assemble pipe systems and related components.
  • Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure.
  • Knowledge of welding safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Ability to inspect welds and identify defects, alignment issues, and material inconsistencies.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workmanship quality.
  • Basic computer skills sufficient to complete required training and documentation.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in a professional work environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.
  • Successful completion of a practical welding assessment required.


Education



  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


Work Experience



  • Minimum of 3-5 years of welding and fabrication experience required.
  • Experience performing MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel and stainless-steel pipe required.
  • Experience with pipe fabrication, spool assembly, and industrial manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Experience conducting weld inspections and quality verification preferred.
