Facilities Technician - JLL What this job involves:

As a Facilities Technician at JLL, you will be the backbone of our facility operations, ensuring seamless building performance and exceptional service delivery. This role is critical to maintaining safe, efficient, and compliant environments for our clients and their teams. You'll manage both hard and soft services, oversee preventative maintenance programs, and serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related issues. Your technical expertise and proactive approach will directly contribute to client satisfaction and operational excellence across our portfolio.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and non-scheduled repairs on HVAC/R systems, electrical substations, building automation systems, and mobile equipment
  • Conduct daily inspections of critical systems including UPS, generators, fire alarms, and building utility/piping systems to ensure 100% uptime
  • Respond promptly to service requests from building occupants, coordinating with contractors and vendors to exceed customer expectations
  • Manage building management systems (BMS) and monitor indoor air quality, temperature control, and energy conservation initiatives
  • Oversee restroom sanitation, floor care, waste removal, and housekeeping operations to maintain the highest cleanliness standards
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all maintenance activities, repairs, and safety incidents while managing spare parts inventories
  • Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety regulations, fire life safety systems, and emergency response protocols
Required Qualifications:
  • Trade certification or licensure in maintenance, HVAC/R, electrical, or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or building operations
  • Proven technical expertise in building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire life safety
  • Availability for on-call emergency response and flexible scheduling
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and safety training requirements
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate mobile equipment safely
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with building automation and monitoring systems (BMS)
  • Familiarity with medical facility operations, first aid, and medical waste disposal protocols
  • Background in chemical management oversight and commodity resource management
  • Prior experience managing subcontracted services and vendor relationships
  • Knowledge of crisis management planning and emergency evacuation procedures
  • Experience in multi-site or corporate facility environments
  • Additional certifications in specialized systems (e.g., refrigeration, security systems, generator maintenance)
