As Enterprise Digital Asset Management (DAM) Product Owner, you will serve as the accountable business owner for Securian's enterprise DAM ecosystem, including AEM Assets, Content Hub, and related DAM-enabled capabilities. You will own the DAM vision, roadmap, governance model, adoption strategy, standards, and value realization across Enterprise Marketing, Enterprise Technology, Legal/Compliance, Sales Enablement, business areastakeholders and externalvendors.

This role helps turn Securian's DAM from a content repository into a governed, searchable, reusable, AI- and personalization-ready enterprise content capability. You will partner with internal teams, managed-service partners, Adobe, and other vendors to improve how approved assets are governed, found, reused, distributed, and measured across the enterprise.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Own DAM strategy and roadmap:Own the enterprise DAM vision, roadmap, priorities, request backlog, release planning, success measures, and value realization for AEM Assets, Content Hub, and related DAM-enabled capabilities.
  • Translate business needs into requirements:Translate enterprise content, channel, audience, and business needs into DAM requirements, roadmap priorities, process changes, release plans, adoption strategies, and role-based asset discovery experiences.
  • Lead DAM governance:Establishand lead the Enterprise DAM Governance Committee, using core representation fromEnterpriseMarketingteams, Enterprise Technology, Legal/Compliance, Sales Enablement/Highspot,andbusiness area champions,with externalvendorsandfunctional SMEs engaged as needed.
  • Set and enforce enterprise standards:Establishand enforce metadata, taxonomy, controlled vocabulary, accessibility, usage rights, retention, archival, approval, access, and business review standards in partnership with DAM Librarian, DAM Administrator, managed-service partners, Legal/Compliance, and business stakeholders.
  • Drive Content Hub adoption and user experience:Define role-based discovery and distribution experiences that help marketing, sales, web, agencies, and business users easily find, trust, reuse, and distribute approved assets; leadchange management,communications, training, and champion engagement to support adoption.
  • Govern remediation and optimization:Prioritize and govern DAM remediation work, including metadata cleanup, folder restructuring, duplicate reduction, external link protection, asset lifecycle management, and reduction of duplicative asset stores.
  • Oversee the operating model:Provide product oversight for DAM Librarian, DAM Administrator, and managed-service activities; support complex escalations while ensuring routine queue management, metadata entry, archiving, and permissions administration remain within theappropriate operating model.
  • Measure value and platform health:Track and communicate DAM value through adoption, search-to-download performance, metadata completeness, asset reuse, reduction in asset recreation, storage optimization, compliance incidents, stakeholder satisfaction, and progress against roadmap outcomes.
  • Partner across teams and vendors:Partner with Enterprise Marketing teams, Sales Enablement/Highspot, Enterprise Technology, Legal/Compliance, Adobe, managed-service partners, and vendors on configuration, integrations, testing, release readiness, issue escalation, user experience improvements, and ongoing DAM capability evolution.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Library/Information Science, Marketing, Information Management, Business, Digital Asset Management, Product Management, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, marketing operations, marketing agency, digital product management, digital asset management, enterprise content operations, marketing technology, or a related field, preferably in a large or regulated enterprise environment.
  • 3+ years of experience owning or leading a DAM, digital content platform, enterprise content capability, governance program, product roadmap, or cross-functional content operations function.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage roadmap priorities, stakeholder alignment, business requirements, governance decisions, adoption outcomes, and value realization in a complex cross-functional environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of metadata strategy, taxonomy, controlledvocabularies, asset lifecycle governance, access/permission models, content standards, and digital content supply chain operations.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, influencing, decision-framing, stakeholder management, change management, process design, documentation, and training skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to define,monitor, and communicate metrics for adoption, findability, reuse, metadata quality, risk reduction, and platform value realization.
  • Ability to lead without direct authority, resolve competing priorities, make recommendations with incomplete information, and manage complex work across multiple business areas.

PreferredQualifications:

  • Strongly prefer experience withAI frontier models,AEM Assets as a Cloud Service, AEM Content Hub, Adobe Workfront,Highspot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Target, Adobe Express/Creative Cloud, AI-enabled content tools, or related marketing technology integrations.
  • Financial services, insurance, or other regulated-industry experience, including compliance review, state filing variations, usage rights, retention, accessibility, audit-readiness, Canada, global, or multi-region content governance considerations.
  • Experience leading governancecouncils, champion networks, managed-service partners, and vendor relationships.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted tagging, search optimization, personalization enablement, dynamic media, and metadata-driven content distribution.
  • Prior experience supporting DAM migration, remediation, metadata cleanup, taxonomy redesign, Content Hub/portal rollout,and/or enterprise DAMoperatingmodel implementation.
  • Working knowledge of creative production workflows and common asset formats.

At Securian Financial, the internal title for this role is Product Owner Consultant.

The estimated base pay range for this job is:

$89,000.00 - $164,300.00

Pay may vary depending on job-related factors and individual experience, skills, knowledge, etc. More information on base pay and incentive pay (if applicable) can be discussed with a member of the Securian Financial Talent Acquisition team.
