PLC Buyer I or II

LEVEL I

  • Estimated annual base pay: $62,000.00 (minimum) - $80,000.00 (midpoint) - $99,000.00 (maximum)

LEVEL II

  • Estimated annual base pay: $72,000.00 (minimum) - $93,000.00 (midpoint) - $115,000.00 (maximum)

LEVEL I

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery and quality of goods.
  • Purchase Order Management: Creates and processes purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained.
  • Inventory Monitoring: Tracks inventory levels to determine purchasing needs and prevent stock shortages or excesses.
  • Cost Analysis: Assists in analyzing costs and negotiating prices with suppliers to achieve cost effective purchasing solutions.
  • Data Maintenance: Maintains accurate records of purchases, supplier information, and transactions within the company's procurement system.

  • Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate favorable terms and prices with suppliers to ensure the best value for the company.
  • Analytical Abilities: Proficient in analyzing market trends, pricing data, and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Effective in communicating with suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of requirements and expectations.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in managing purchase orders, contracts, and inventory levels to prevent errors and ensure accuracy.
  • Vendor Management: Skilled in building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors to secure reliable supply chains and favorable terms.
  • Time Management: Capable of prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines and business objectives.
  • Problem Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues in the supply chain and implement effective solutions to maintain smooth operations.
  • Knowledge of Procurement Software: Proficient in using procurement and inventory management software to streamline purchasing processes.
  • Supply Chain Management: Ability to navigate ERP, Ops Management and Logistics where material can be manufactured into a finished product.
  • Inventory Management: Ability to develop and monitor controls for inventory limits.

Successful candidate typically have:

  • Associates degree or greater

LEVEL II

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management and Communication: Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new suppliers to ensure the timely delivery and quality of goods. Foster clear communication and collaboration by effectively engaging with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, ensuring mutual understanding and alignment.
  • Quotation Process: Internal project Requirements collection and data preparation for the RFI (Request for Information) / RFP (request for Proposal) / RFQ (Request for Quote) processes to be followed with suppliers.
  • Cost Optimization: understanding the product cost drivers, negotiate prices and PO terms with suppliers to achieve project cost targets (CTC) while maintaining quality standards.
  • Purchase Order Management: Verify with the PLC PM new components needs, making sure that Project Team installed proper demand signals, based on the MRP creates and processes purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained (including RTS process) according to the company policies. This includes also regular adjustment of the PO according to the project needs shared by the PLC PM. Additionally, it involves inventory management aligned with project requirements and organizational standards, as well as conducting analysis, making predictions, and providing actionable recommendations to achieve defined goals.
  • Prepare and provide proper PLC Deliverables required for PTP and NPI process.

  • Negotiation Skills & Cost Management:Ability to negotiate terms and prices with suppliers to ensure cost target achievement for the product / projects and evaluate potential design cost optimization proposals from suppliers.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers to ensure the timely delivery and quality of goods.
  • Data Analysis: Analyzes the data and metrics to optimize supply chain processes and support strategic decision making.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Effectively communicates with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure clear understanding of requirements and expectations and capable to build strong collaboration and relation with stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves issues related to projects expectations and supplier capabilities.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensures all supply chain activities adhere to organizational policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards to mitigate potential risks.
  • Time Management: Capable to build strong methodical approach for the prioritization, follow up, reporting, self-management.
  • Inventory Management: Understanding and using the business reports to identify the potential inventory issues and take proactive advanced actions actions.
  • Cost Management: Utilizes strategies to control and reduce costs while maintaining quality and meeting organizational needs.
  • Supplier Performance: Optimizing a suppliers performance by resolving complex problems through quality and delivery and driving systemic recovery.

Successful candidate typically have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain
