Job Description
The Semiconductor Manufacturing Director leads and oversees all operational aspects of a semiconductor manufacturing facility, driving the efficient and effective production of high-quality semiconductor products. This strategic leadership position demands deep expertise in semiconductor manufacturing processes, coupled with robust technical and business acumen. Success in this role requires exceptional communication abilities and proven management skills to guide teams, optimize operations, and deliver excellence in a dynamic, technology-driven environment.
- Workflow Coordination: Track production progress against schedules, identifying and addressing bottlenecks or inefficiencies immediately.
- Resource Allocation: Manage the effective deployment of labor, materials, and equipment to meet production targets; coordinate with supply chain and logistics to prevent shortages.
- Scheduling: Adjust production schedules dynamically to accommodate shifting priorities, equipment maintenance, or urgent orders.
- Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality procedures to reduce human error and minimize defects. Work closely with the Quality Control team to execute corrective actions.
- Safety Leadership: Enforce strict health and safety regulations. Conduct regular audits, identify hazards, and ensure a culture of safety through ongoing training and proactive risk management.
- 5S Culture: Drive the integration of 5S protocols into daily routines to improve workplace autonomy and organization. Lead periodic 5S audits and continuous improvement training.
- People Management: Lead a team of supervisors and operators. Set clear priorities, conduct performance reviews, and act as a role model by demonstrating a strong work ethic and adherence to procedure.
- Skill Development: Identify skill gaps within the team and design targeted training programs to advance technical and soft skills, ultimately reducing labor turnover.
- Performance Coaching: Provide consistent feedback and coaching to help employees meet and exceed their productivity and quality goals.
- Strategic Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot production issues (equipment, material, or workflow) rapidly to minimize downtime.
- Operational Efficiency: Continuously assess production processes to reduce cycle times, eliminate waste, and optimize costs without compromising quality.
- Data-Driven Reporting: Maintain accurate records of output, quality, and attendance. Provide management with regular updates and data-backed recommendations for operational enhancements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams to implement new technologies or processes and ensure alignment with broader company initiatives.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering or relative years of direct work experience.
- 10 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of success in managing complex manufacturing operations, improving efficiency, and reducing costs.
- Strong command of Lean manufacturing principles (Kaizen, 5S).
- Exceptional leadership capabilities with the ability to manage diverse teams and drive cultural change.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate production data into actionable operational strategies.
