Supports the WVUHS Medical Group ambulatory network through the collection, analysis, and reporting of quality, safety, access, patient experience, and performance data to drive continuous improvement across physician practices and outpatient services. Partners with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to advance quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, patient experience initiatives, and performance improvement efforts. Translates complex data into actionable insights that support evidence-based decision-making and align with WVU Medicine's mission to improve community health outcomes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, Data Analytics, Quality Improvement, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE:

1. Two (2) years experience working with healthcare data, quality reporting, performance improvement, or clinical data.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Master's Degree.

EXPERIENCE:

1. Experience within a multi-specialty ambulatory network or academic medical center.

2. Quality or performance improvement certification (e.g., CPHQ, Lean Six Sigma).

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. 1. Collect, validate, and analyze quality, access, patient experience, and safety data (e.g., clinical quality measures, utilization, throughput, outcomes).

2. Develop and maintain standardized dashboards, scorecards, and reports aligned with WVU Medicine priorities, payer requirements, and regulatory benchmarks.

3. Develop and utilize tools to track, analyze, and report quality metrics

4. Monitor trends, identify gaps in performance, and escalate risks or opportunities for improvement.

5. Support practice-level and systemwide quality improvement initiatives using established improvement methodologies (e.g., PDSA, Lean, Six Sigma).

6. Assist with root cause analyses, action plan development, and outcome tracking.

7. Partner with practice leaders and operational teams to promote standardized workflows and sustain improvements.

8. Support SMG compliance with ambulatory regulatory, accreditation, and payer quality requirements (e.g., CMS, NCQA, Joint Commission, state programs).

9. Assist with audit preparation, survey readiness, measure abstraction, and submission of required data.

10. Maintain accurate documentation and reporting to support ambulatory accreditation and quality programs.

11. Prepare presentations and summaries for leadership, committees, and practice teams.

12. Effectively communicate quality performance insights to clinical and operational stakeholders.

13. Support ambulatory quality councils, workgroups, and system initiatives as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

2. Proficiency with data and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Epic reporting tools, or similar platforms).

3. Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development.

4. Work collaboratively across clinical and administrative teams.

5. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across disciplines.

6. Familiarity with value-based care, payer quality programs, and population health metrics.

7. Knowledge of healthcare quality metrics, regulatory requirements, and performance improvement principles.
