The MGB Cancer Institute is growing rapidly, and we're seeking dedicated and experienced Practice Assistants to join our Newton-Wellesley team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in the patient care experience at one of the nation's leading academic health systems.
As a Sr. Practice Assistant, you'll provide expert coordination of patient scheduling while partnering closely with both clinical and administrative members of our interdisciplinary teams. Your work will help ensure seamless access to care, efficient clinic operations, and an exceptional experience for every patient and provider you support.
This role is 100% on-site, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm.

High School Diploma or Equivalent required

3-5 years office experience required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong technology and MS Office skills - Advanced Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Knowledge of office operations and standards and understanding of office procedures including filing, copying, scanning, printing and faxing.
- Ability to use phone system and manage more non-routine phone calls and solve routine issues as appropriate.
- Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience and Talking to others to convey information effectively.
- Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents, to correspond and communicate with others clearly and effectively (including composing/editing e-mail, memos and letters), and to take complete and accurate messages.
- Managing one's own time and the time of others.
- Well organized and good time management skills to manage multiple tasks effectively, follow established protocols, and work within systems.
- Ability to proofread and edit written documents.
