NielsenIQ's Strategic Analytics & Insights (SA&I) team is focused on driving revenue growth, identifying new business opportunities, and expanding market penetration across industries. Sales is a key engine of NielsenIQ's success, and this role plays a critical part in unlocking new commercial opportunities both within existing clients and in new markets.

This is an entry-level commercial role designed for individuals with strong sales orientation who are eager to develop their skills in a dynamic and consultative environment.

Unlike traditional account management roles, the SA&I team does not own dedicated client accounts. Instead, it focuses on identifying sales opportunities across both existing RMS clients and new prospects, positioning NielsenIQ's SA&I solutions to address evolving business needs.

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Expanding NielsenIQ's footprint within existing RMS clients by identifying unmet needs and proposing SA&I solutions
  • Hunting for new business opportunities across industries such as consumer goods, telecommunications, services, and construction
  • Acting as a bridge between internal teams (Customer Success, IT) and clients to identify, shape, and deliver solutions
  • Supporting the development of a strong commercial pipeline and contributing to revenue growth

You will work in a highly collaborative environment with exposure to multiple stakeholders and industries, combining account development with new business acquisition.

Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify new revenue opportunities within existing RMS clients by understanding their needs and proposing relevant SA&I solutions
  • Prospect, qualify, and develop new client relationships across multiple industries
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline aligned with growth targets

Client & Solution Development

  • Partner with clients to develop briefs and uncover business challenges
  • Translate client needs into tailored SA&I solutions in collaboration with internal teams
  • Present and demonstrate NielsenIQ's services and value proposition to prospective clients

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with Customer Success, IT, and internal sales teams to identify opportunities and deliver solutions
  • Support cross-functional alignment to ensure effective execution of commercial initiatives

Sales Support Activities

  • Contribute to proposal development, pricing, and RFP responses
  • Support reporting, contract management, and sales tracking
  • Gather and analyze Voice of Customer feedback to enhance offerings

Scope of the Role

  • Penetration of new solutions within existing client base (RMS clients)
  • Development of new business across industries beyond consumer goods
  • Expansion of SA&I portfolio into new clients and markets

Qualifications

Must Have

  • 1-2 years of experience in sales or commercial roles
  • Strong sales orientation and commercial mindset
  • Fluent English (ability to conduct business conversations)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Willingness to learn and understand complex solutions

Nice to Have

  • Experience in market research, consumer insights, or analytics
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
  • Background in research agencies (Ipsos, Kantar, Dichter) or boutique firms
  • Experience in insights/research roles within consumer goods companies
  • Ability to conduct in-person client visits
