Scope of Position

The position is for a talented, energetic, and motivated TIG Welder who is detail-oriented and safety-conscious. As part of the Stainless-Steel Department, this individual will be responsible for fabricating and welding high-quality stainless-steel components in accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards.

This role requires inspecting finished welds to ensure precision and durability, maintaining welding equipment, and strictly adhering to all safety protocols. The TIG Welder will collaborate closely with team members to meet production schedules and support continuous process improvement initiatives. This position plays a critical role in delivering durable, precision-engineered products that uphold I-CON Systems' reputation for excellence.

This position reports to Erika Duffy-Carr. This role is onsite and is based in Orlando, FL.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performing TIG welding on stainless steel 14/12-gauge sheet metal, piping ranging from 2 3/8 diameter to 3/8, and utilizing gas purge protection

  • Performing component setup as well as setup on welding equipment controls.

  • Working from drawings and/or work instructions, setting up parts and/or major components, and preparing the components for welding.

  • Locating and measuring to and from the correct surfaces and providing detailed inspection information regarding the surfaces identified and specified on the provided work instructions.

  • Using suitable tools to properly contour weld parts and components to match tolerance configuration requirements

  • Performing equipment PM as assigned.

  • Participating in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals, as well as contributing to the overall positive team spirit of the department and the Company.

  • Performing other such duties as may be required.

Required Qualifications

  • Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.

  • TIG welding experience and experience welding 18-gauge to 12-gauge stainless steel sheet metal

  • Experience working within a metal fabrication manufacturing environment, with the ability to work off blueprints/work instructions.

  • Can lift/move up to 50lbs, correctable vision of a minimum of 20/30, and be capable of standing for extended periods of time

  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, including Drug Test, and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree, certificate, or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school

  • 3+ years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Working Conditions

While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site in a manufacturing facility. You will be required to work at the Company's location in Oviedo, FL. Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.

Physical Requirements: Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

  • Ability to push and pull up to 25 pounds.

  • Ability to physically move around the manufacturing floor.

  • Ability to read documents and communicate clearly with management and coworkers.

  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
