Overview TEKsystems is hiring a Field/Desktop Support Technician to support a large enterprise IT environment across a central office location and nearby facilities in the Madison area. This is an excellent long-term opportunity with a stable and established support team, with some contractors staying in similar roles for many years. The ideal candidate will have strong desktop troubleshooting experience, excellent customer service skills, and experience supporting enterprise Windows environments. Location Madison, WI This is a fully onsite role with occasional local travel to nearby facilities. Schedule Flexibility Candidates can choose from several schedule options: * 4x10 schedule (Fridays off) * Standard 5x8 schedule * 9-hour biweekly flex schedule with one Friday off every two weeks Compensation & Travel * $28/hr * Mileage reimbursement when traveling between facilities * Paid travel time between work locations Key Responsibilities * Provide hands-on desktop support for end users * Troubleshoot and support: * Windows 10/11 * Office 365 * PC/laptop hardware * Imaging and device deployments * Install and replace end-of-life PCs and laptops * Maintain inventory and properly dispose of outdated equipment * Manage and close tickets in the ticketing system * Assist nearby sites with projects and technical support needs * Support AV equipment installations and troubleshooting Required Experience * 3-5 years of enterprise desktop support experience * Windows 10/11 support experience * Office 365 support experience * Laptop/Desktop imaging and hardware troubleshooting * Strong customer service and communication skills * Experience working collaboratively within a team environment Nice to Have * ServiceNow * Microsoft Intune * AV/Conference room support experience Additional Requirements * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs * Ability to stand for extended periods when needed * Strong interpersonal and communication skills are critical for success in this role Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Madison, WI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
