Overview TEKsystems is hiring a Service Desk Technician to support both internal staff and external users within a large enterprise environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to intermediate-level IT support professional looking to gain enterprise-level experience in a structured and collaborative environment with long-term career potential. Location & Schedule Madison, WI Hybrid Schedule: * First 2 weeks onsite for training * After training: onsite 1-2 days per week * Standard working hours: * Monday-Friday * 7:45 AM - 4:30 PM CST Contractors must be available during standard business hours and attend all scheduled meetings. Compensation * Long-term ongoing contract * Great opportunity to build enterprise IT support experience Key Responsibilities * Provide 1st and 2nd tier technical support to internal staff and external users * Perform Identity & Access Management (IAM) tasks including: * Password resets * Account unlocks * User profile administration * Troubleshoot: * Windows 10/11 * Office 365 * Outlook * Teams * VPN/connectivity issues * Printing issues * Hardware/software problems * Manage and deploy laptops/desktops * Fulfill software installation requests * Escalate complex issues when needed * Document tickets and support activity within ITSM tools Technologies Supported * Windows 10/11 * Microsoft Office 365 * Outlook & Teams * Active Directory * VPN & MFA tools * Adobe products * Print management software * Device encryption & management tools Required Experience * 1+ year of enterprise IT support experience * Windows 10/11 support experience * Office 365 support experience * Experience working in a phone-based/service desk environment * Experience using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Cherwell * Experience handling software installations/service requests * Basic IAM/account provisioning experience * Strong communication and customer service skills Nice to Have * Experience with web-based telephony systems * Experience verifying confidential account credentials * Conference room technology support experience Ideal Candidate The manager is looking for someone who: * Has an engaging and professional phone presence * Provides excellent customer service * Communicates clearly and confidently * Is dependable and team-oriented * Enjoys helping users solve technical issues Experience Level Intermediate Level Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Madison, WI.
