THE POSITION

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) has an exciting opportunity for a professional Administrative Officer 1 in the Bureau of Asset Protection. In this role you will be responsible for assisting in implementing objectives and administering fraud and asset protection programs. This position assists the Asset Protection fraud avoidance initiative to address financial vulnerabilities through investigative work. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the Office of Asset Protection by assisting with investigative activities, and fraud prevention efforts that help protect state resources. As an Administrative Officer 1, you will perform the following duties:

  • Investigation Support: Assist with gathering information, reviewing documents, and helping to coordinate investigative activities
  • Case Management: Manage casework, and provide updates to senior staff on progress and findings
  • Fraud Analysis: Review data, and examine patterns to identify fraud risks, and potential issues
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with investigators, store leaders, and regional operations to support asset protection goals
  • Documentation Review: Examine affidavits, and related materials that support administrative and investigative actions
  • Operational Feedback: Share observations with operations teams to help improve compliance, and reduce vulnerabilities

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You will have the opportunity to work from home part-time up to four days a week, with one day per week in the Northwest Office Building in Harrisburg. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
