* Temporary staff employees are ineligible to receive benefits (leave, health coverage, State service credit, etc.). They are, however, covered by Worker's Compensation provisions.
However, any non-permanent employee hired to work 30 or more hours per week for three months or more (cumulative of all positions, and not designated as variable hour worker), must be offered the chance to enroll in the High Deductible Health Plan, within 30 days of their eligibility. Any non-permanent employee hired to work less than 30 hours per week (cumulative of all positions or designated as variable hour worker - i.e. student workers) are measured during designated measurement periods. If they average 30 or more hours per week over a designated measurement period, they will be offered the chance to enroll in the High Deductible Health Plan and will be notified of instructions.

Monday-Friday daytime, evening and weekend hours as needed to cover recruitment.
Pay Rate $2,666/month
Minimum Experience/Education
Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:

  • Ability to maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and representational communication skills; strong work ethic.
  • Ability to travel in and out of state.
  • Recent UNC Charlotte graduate with a strong knowledge of University programs including student services and academics.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Travel extensively in North Carolina, South Carolina and other out of state target markets.
  • Counsel and advise prospective first-year and transfer students on admissions requirements, policies, and procedures on location or virtually, via phone and email.
  • Work non-traditional hours as needed.
  • Assist with targeted recruitment activities.
  • Assist with admissions events.


Other Work/Responsibilities

  • Vehicle will be provided for all travel.
  • Professional training and career development opportunities.

A valid driver's license.
