A Lead Engineer performs complex Engineering analysis, reviews electric Distribution Planning projects, and assists management with various assignments. A Lead guides and trains Engineers, Technologists, Technicians and Specialists responsible for engineering work such as developing models to evaluate the impact of Distributed Energy Resources (DER) and Distributed Energy Storage Resources (DESR), implementing solutions and justifying construction needs for CEHE's distribution system, and designing new programs and systems to automate existing processes. A Lead Engineer assigns work to Engineering personnel responsible for creating and developing distribution development plans (DDP), DER/DESR impact study reports, process automation improvements and other assignments supporting the growth and reliability of the electric distribution system. Please note: This position requires a Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in the State of Texas Essential Functions
