Description

Under the direct supervision of the Patient Financial Services Manager, the Patient Financial Services Assistant will be responsible for departmental support functions including communication with physician teams and insurance companies.

This is a full-time opportunity based at our corporate office located in Woodbury, MN. Monday - Friday schedule of 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with the ability to work a hybrid work schedule (subject to change).




  • Monitor and follow up with team members for order status updates.



  • Receive all incoming faxes, email and mail to update orders with approval/denial information.



  • Work with physician teams to set up peer to peer reviews and/or seek additional information on denied authorizations.



  • Maintain daily prior authorization updates in the automated prior authorization system.



  • Assist in correspondence with Worker's Compensation authorization requests.


  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Summit's hiring range for this position is $18.77 to $23.46 per hour. The hired candidate may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, differentials and/or deferred compensation. Qualifications
Education
High School (required)
Experience
Previous insurance billing experience is preferred. (preferred)
3 years: 3 years of experience in a Business Office setting is preferred. (preferred)
