Position Overview

We are seeking an Entry-Level HR Generalist I to support Human Resources operations. This role will focus primarily on onboarding activities while providing exposure to various HR functions, including benefits administration, HR systems, employee support, and payroll processes.

This position is ideal for recent graduates looking to launch their career in Human Resources. No prior HR experience is required. Hands-on training will be provided.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage onboarding of new employees
  • Set up and maintain personnel files
  • Perform data entry using Taleo
  • Enter employee benefit information into:
    • Taleo ATS System
    • Paycor
    • Unanet
  • Support new hire in-processing, including:
    • Background checks
    • Drug screenings
    • Physicals with third-party vendors
  • Communicate with employees and managers regarding benefits questions
  • Complete personnel forms, mandated reports, logs, and records
  • Maintain data integrity within HR systems
  • Monitor unemployment claims
  • Learn employment law and affirmative action requirements
  • Complete employment verifications as requested
  • Verify new hire eligibility through E-Verify
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education Requirements

  • Associate's degree in:
    • Human Resources
    • Psychology
    • Business Administration
    • Organizational Leadership
    • Communications
    • Or a related field

Experience Requirements

  • No prior Human Resources experience required
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Hands-on training and development will be provided

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite:
    • Word
    • Excel
    • PowerPoint
    • Outlook
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Willingness to learn HR systems, payroll processes, and employment regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship, campus leadership, customer service, administrative, or office experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with HR, recruiting, or business-related coursework is preferred
