Medical Director, US CNS Oncology

Field-Based / Full Time / United States (East or Central Preferred)

At Novocure, we're working to extend the lives of patients battling some of the most aggressive forms of cancer. Every role here contributes to that mission - and as a Medical Director, US CNS Oncology, you'll play a critical role in advancing the scientific understanding, clinical adoption, and future development of Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) Therapy across neuro-oncology. This position will help shape medical strategy, support evidence generation, and build meaningful partnerships with leading clinicians and researchers throughout the CNS oncology community.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Medical Director, US CNS Oncology to provide medical and scientific leadership across Novocure's CNS oncology portfolio, including glioblastoma and brain metastases. Reporting to the Vice President, US Medical Affairs, this field-based role will serve as a key medical expert and strategic partner, collaborating closely with Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, Research & Development, and Global teams.

This position is ideal for a physician or experienced clinical professional with deep expertise in neuro-oncology, radiation oncology, neurosurgery, or related CNS disciplines who is passionate about improving outcomes for patients with brain tumors. You will help drive educational initiatives, support clinical evidence generation, engage with key opinion leaders, and represent Novocure at major scientific meetings and congresses

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Serve as a medical and scientific leader for CNS oncology initiatives across the United States
  • Support the development and execution of medical strategies that increase awareness and understanding of TTFields Therapy and its clinical evidence
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, academic institutions, and healthcare professionals within neuro-oncology
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support evidence generation activities, ongoing clinical trials, and future research priorities
  • Lead scientific exchange and educational programs for physicians, advanced practice providers, fellows, and other healthcare professionals
  • Represent Novocure at scientific congresses, advisory boards, steering committees, and investigator meetings
  • Collaborate with Global Medical Affairs and Clinical Affairs teams to ensure alignment on scientific strategy and research objectives
  • Support field medical engagement efforts alongside Medical Science Liaisons and Medical Affairs leadership
  • Identify emerging scientific trends, unmet needs, and educational opportunities within CNS oncology
  • Serve as a trusted internal expert and resource for CNS oncology-related medical and scientific questions
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with ethical, regulatory, and compliance standards

Minimum Qualifications



  • MD, DO, or equivalent advanced clinical degree
  • Minimum 10 years of clinical experience in oncology
  • Clinical expertise in neuro-oncology, radiation oncology, neurosurgery, or a related CNS oncology specialty
  • Strong understanding of clinical research, evidence generation, and clinical trial execution
  • Experience presenting scientific and clinical information to healthcare professionals
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence through collaboration
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and matrixed environment
  • Willingness to travel as required for conferences, field engagements, and business meetings



Preferred Qualifications:




  • Experience treating patients with glioblastoma, high-grade gliomas, brain metastases, or other CNS malignancies
  • Industry experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device organizations
  • Experience supporting clinical trials, investigator-sponsored research, or evidence generation initiatives
  • Radiation oncology experience strongly preferred
  • Prior launch experience within oncology, neuroscience, or medical devices
  • Familiarity with medical affairs activities, scientific communications, and KOL engagement
  • Understanding of the evolving CNS oncology treatment landscape and emerging research trends

WHAT WE OFFER

This pay range which Novocure expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting is $260,000 - $320,000/yr. This position may also be eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant in addition to a full range of benefits. Individual compensation within this range depends on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge and skills demonstrated.
