The Senior Director, Global Medical Strategy - GI Oncology provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all medical and scientific initiatives across gastrointestinal (GI) cancer indications for Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) therapy, including pancreatic cancer. This leader serves as the global scientific authority for the therapeutic area, driving evidence generation, publication strategy, medical education, and external engagement to accelerate the adoption and impact of TTFields in GI oncology.

The role collaborates closely with R&D, clinical development, regulatory, commercial, and regional medical teams to ensure aligned strategies and consistent execution across countries. This position will also lead interactions with global key opinion leaders, professional societies, and other external stakeholders to position Novocure as a recognized leader in the field.

The Senior Director, Global Medical Strategy - GI Oncologywill be based at our Novocure's office in either Waye, Pennsylvania or Baar, Switzerland

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Develop and implement the global medical strategy for pancreatic cancer indications.
  • Lead evidence generation efforts including company-sponsored trials, Investigator-Initiated Trials, and real-world evidence programs.
  • In close collaboration with key functions within Novocure, act as the global scientific authority for pancreatic cancer, ensuring scientific consistency and excellence across all initiatives.
  • Partner with R&D, clinical development, regulatory, and commercial functions to align pipeline development and launch readiness plans.
  • Lead global publication and congress strategies, ensuring high-quality scientific communication and impactful presence at major oncology meetings.
  • Coordinate with regional and country medical teams to enable unified execution of global strategies and support local implementation needs.
  • Develop and deliver internal and external medical education initiatives to enhance understanding of TTFields in pancreas oncology.
  • Build trusted relationships with global KOLs, academic partners, and professional societies to shape the scientific dialogue and establish Novocure's leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable international regulations, standards, and internal SOPs.



KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:



  • Implement the global indication strategy.
  • Ensure alignment across different countries and regions.
  • Maintain high data quality and consistency.
  • Engage with global key opinion leaders (KOLs) and professional societies.



QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

Qualifications:



  • MD with a minimum of 5 years' experience in in GI oncology
  • In depth expertise in GI Oncology with specialist knowledge in the pancreatic therapeutic area



Knowledge:



  • Strong team orientation and ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional, international environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven experience supporting new product and indication launches, both in-market and globally.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Medical Affairs and compliance requirements across multiple countries.
